Mission Trip at my age….why not? What are you doing that is more important?

susie and nancy allenA group will be traveling to Tanzania in May of 2016 for another mission trip led by Bob Allen.

We welcome all ages. The focus of the trip is always evangelism but is open to the interests of the group. In the past, eyeglass clinics have been held and other opportunities to serve depending on the interest and skills of the group.

This year, a couple is actually going two weeks in advance of our trip to work in the Lutheran Secondary School where classes are taught in English. They will return with us. People with skills in technology are always needed to help set up the office of the diocese and work on their computers and software settings.

We typically do some type of safari depending upon the interest of the group. Our stay is 10-14 days. The group this year is a mix of veterans and first timers. It is not too late to join us. We will take good care of you. The very first mission trip I went on was at the ripe old age of 53 after being widowed. I went by myself but was quickly welcomed  by the group and felt very comfortable and safe. That was 15 years ago and have been nearly every year since then.
