Now that the 4th cohort of Concordia Pastoral and Diaconal Training Program (administered by CTSFW at the request of South East of Lake Victoria Diocese of ELCT) has concluded with graduation and the truly historic ordination/deaconess installation service at Ebenezer Cathedral of Shinyanga in early June, the CPDTP’s 5th cohort will begin this September at the Bishop Emmanuel Makala Training Center in Negezi.
We conducted an orientation meeting for this new group of students during the week of the 8th Annual Theological Symposium of SELVD (July 30-Aug 2, 2024). In addition to this training program, SELVD will launch its new seminary in Bushushu (in Shinyanga) also in September. The first building of the seminary, one of the two dormitories, was officially opened on the day before the symposium. This new seminary that offers historic confessional theological education will serve the entire Tanzania.
