Sinema Leo, a mobile movie van, is a tremendous ministry in Tanzania. The van goes into villages, many of which have no electricity and show the Jesus movie in Swahili.
Hundreds of people appear, just after dark, to see a movie, sometimes for the first time. Some hear the name Jesus for the first time. People of all ages come to hear the gospel message.
I remember one women who was 93 years old, walked miles to come to the movie and became a Christian. The name she took in her baptism was Anna Lea.
Sinema Leo is a great outreach and educational tool.The government provides short movies to make people aware of the problem of aids or the evils of witchcraft.
