Rev. Dr. Yohanna Nzelu,

On December 9th and 10th of 2022, the General Assembly met at Tumaini Bariadi Congregation  and elected Reverend Dr. Yohana Ernest Nzelu to serve as bishop of the Southeast of Lake Victoria Diocese (SELVD) for a period of ten years. He had previously served as Assistant Bishop of the SELVD and as headmaster at Mwadui Lutheran Secondary School.

The Assembly also elected Reverend Dr. Daniel Henry Mono who previously served as the District Pastor at Kahama to be Assistant Bishop for a period of four years. Both men have years of experience and demonstrated essential skills in leadership positions.

The consecration of the Bishop Elect and Installation of Assistant to  the Bishop Elect will take place on April 30, 2023 at Ebenezer Cathedral in Shinyanga. We ask for your continued prayers for this new leadership team.
