Making Christmas memories from Tennessee to Tanzania

Eli, John, Samantha and Finley are in the giving frame of mind as they make our their Christmas wish list. At a family meeting, they discussed how they can give something meaningful at Christmas.  As their grandparents travel to Tanzania on a mission trip every year, they reached out for suggestions.

One suggestion seemed to catch their interest and that was in donating Kindles to be downloaded with reference material for use at the library to be at Mwaudi Lutheran Secondary School. It helps that dad is a techy minded professional and knows exactly how to do this.

After the family meeting, they voted to each give enough to buy six Kindle Fires to the school and allow their grandparents the privilege of delivering them in May on our trip. The kids are excited to see pictures of them receiving the gift and are busy writing letters to the students for us to deliver on their behalf.

The saying that it is more blessed to give than to receive holds true and it is also fun. Thanks to the kids and Mom and Dad as well. This is a gift that will keep on giving for many students.
